Thank you for your interest in becoming a beta tester for Talking Flight Monitor.

TFM Beta Requirements

Prior to submitting your application below, please take note of the following requirements:

  • In order to be considered as a tester for this beta cycle, you must own a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Furthermore, you must own the PMDG Boeing 777-300ER aircraft add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, as testing will be focused on this aircraft.
  • Beta testers are offered a discounted subscription price for TFM of $7.99. The discounted subscription will be billed monthly, and will end once beta testing concludes at which point you may continue to use TFM at the regular subscription rate.
  • Upon being selected as a TFM beta tester, you will be given instructions on how to purchase your discounted beta member subscription. Access to the beta will be granted once your subscription is active and the first subscription payment has been received. We kindly ask that you purchase your beta tester subscription within one week of receiving the necessary details so that testing can start at the same time for all participants. Please understand that if you are unable to purchase your subscription within this timeframe, we may need to remove you from the program and invite another applicant to take your spot.

As a beta tester of Talking Flight Monitor, you would play a critical role in helping us prepare the program for public release in a clean, polished state. To that end, testing for and reporting bugs and issues which you may encounter during your use of Talking Flight Monitor is a crucial aspect of the beta cycle.

To help us evaluate your issue reporting skills, please imagine the following fictitious scenario:

You have been accepted into the TFM private beta program. After downloading and installing your first TFM beta version, you are ready and excited to get your first flight off the ground using it. Having loaded into your PMDG B777-300ER in MSFS, you start prepping for your flight by programming the FMC and going through the motions of getting your plane configured for takeoff, when suddenly you discover something unexpected is happening as you are trying to set up your plane – the exact nature of the encountered issue is for you to decide. With this in mind, please write up a quick report describing the supposed issue.
